Vintage Navajo Native American Sterling Silver Bisbee Turquoise Cuff Bracelet

On offer is an authentic, vintage NAVAJO hand wrought sterling silver carinated angle knife edge two (2) band cuff bracelet adorned with a fine hand cut and polished southwest desert sky blue natural turquoise cabochon stone. The stone is characteristic of turquoise from the Bisbee (smokey blue Bisbee) or perhaps Morenci mines in Southern Arizona. The carinated bands appear to be made from hand pulled ingot silver. This bracelet is not hallmarked which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry prior to the 1970's. It tested positive for sterling silver.

We believe this piece was created circa 1960 or perhaps earlier. This handsome bracelet was skillfully crafted in the traditional old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction).

The carinated bands are capped at both ends. The beautiful natural turquoise stone has a tiny trace of pyrite, sometimes a characteristic of Bisbee material and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The natural shaped smokey blue cabochon stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by flattened silver rope. 13/16" long x 5/8" wide. Overall, the two (2) angle band bracelet measures approx.

1 1/8" tapering to 1/2" wide. The plaque is approx 1" long x 7/8" wide. The interior circumference of the cuff is approx. 6 3/4" TOTAL including 1 3/8" opening. The cuff has a bit of flexibility for careful adjusting and weighs a hefty 35.3 grams - 1.135 ounces.
